Johann Adam Ponader is known to have been working as a butcher in Kemnath, Bavaria, as early as 1692. He was to become the founding father of the company.

For over 325 years, every generation of our ancestors have been butchers. We are proud of that tradition. Ponnath DIE MEISTERMETZGER is the oldest family-run business in the butcher’s trade in Germany. We owe this long tradition to our passion for detail and for quality craftsmanship.
